Special Events

All participants in the RMA Golf Tournament and other special events must be registered for the convention. Most special events have a separate fee that must be paid with registration. Onsite registration for events will be subject to availability. A special event may be cancelled if the minimum sign-up is not met.

The following events are offered for registered attendees and guests:
Event Refund Policy:  To be eligible for a full event refund, cancellation notices must be received in writing on or before May 31, 2024. No refunds will be made for cancellations received after May 31, 2024. Full refunds will be issued if the event is cancelled.

Breakfast Program

Explorer Breakfast:  Dive into the Wonders of the Ocean

Marine biologists from the Maui Ocean Center will lead an immersive presentation that promises to awaken your senses and deepen your connection with the marine world.  We’ll delve into the mysteries of the ocean, learn about the importance of ocean conservation, and discover the enchanting marine life that calls the waters of Hawai’i home.  Prepare to be amazed as we unveil the hidden world of corals and experience a live coral feeding demonstration.

Afternoon Turtle Snorkel Cruise

Date:   Wednesday, June 19
Time:   12:30 PM to 5:00 PM
Price:   $150 per person
Location:  Meet at the RMA registration desk at 12:15 for departure
Maximum Participants:  65 passengers
Tour Includes: Lunch, beverages, snorkel gear and instructions, towels and sunscreen, transportation
Climb aboard the Alii Nui catamaran for an enticing Turtle Snorkel cruise. Explore Maui’s beautiful waters and snorkel with turtles.  It is a great way to spend a beautiful Hawaiian afternoon. An underwater camera can be rented.

Golf Tournament

Date:   Thursday, June 20
Time:   12:00 PM to 6:00 PM (Shuttle will start running at 11:00 AM)
Price:   $400
Rental Clubs:  $75
Location:  Wailea Golf Club’s Emerald Course
Maximum Participants:  144
Includes:
  • Golf bag pull and tournament fees
  • Greens fees and cart
  • Box lunch
  • Beverages and snacks on the course
  • Transportation to and from the golf course

RMA’s annual golf tournament is a four-person scramble with a shotgun format. This year’s tournament will be held at the Wailea Golf Club on the Emerald Course, which was masterfully designed by Robert Trent Jones II. This course is considered to be a Tropical Playground. The course delights your senses while testing your club selection and ball placement skills. A serene lake and fabulous ocean backdrop, makes it one of the prettiest spots in Maui.

Golfing Attire: Shirts must have a collar, slacks or shorts, women can wear a skirt.  No tee shirts, tank tops, swimwear, cover ups, cut off or gym shorts.  Spikeless golf or athletic shoes can be worn.
 

RMA Luau

Date:   Thursday, June 20
Time:   7:00 to 10:00 PM
Location:  Molikini Gardens
This event is open to all registered attendees including registered spouses and children. Sign-up is required.
As the convention draws to a close, we invite all attendees to join us for an unforgettable luau celebration!  Experience the tastes of authentic Hawaiian cuisine, sway to the rhythms of live music, and marvel at the captivating Polynesian cultural performances. Don't miss this opportunity to create lasting memories and bid farewell to the convention in true island style.

Calling all Future Rice Millers:  Join in the Luau Procession!
All children (18 and under) registered for the convention are invited to be part of the Chair’s Court and take part in the luau procession. Children are invited to come in Hawaiian-related attire, but this is not required.  The Chairs Court will assemble at a designated spot immediately prior to the luau; additional details will be provided.
